After a tumultuous off-season of NBA Labor negotiations the fans finally have the game of basketball back as the season starts with the Celtics visiting the Knicks on Christmas Day. A shortened 66 game season can be looked on as a relief to the Celtics considering the usual grind of the normal NBA year on a veteran squad. But there may be a slew of back to back games so the compression of games in a short time span may weigh heavily resulting in tired legs. The Celtics only have 6 players truly under contract so they need to proceed with series of moves before training camp starts on December 9th. Two important pieces to consider for Danny Ainge is Jeff Green and Glen "Big Baby" Davis. Delonte West must also be considered as a signing. The club really needs back up PF/Center so a sign and trade is definitely a possibility. Overall this campaign is the first time in a few years that the Celtics are not looked upon as the team to beat coming out of the East. It will be an interesting 2011/12 season to say the least so you can purchase Boston Celtics Tickets from us to see how the team evolves.
